The Cotswolds, Gloucestershire

Among the wolds and combes (hills and valleys) of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire is the village of Lower Slaughter, inhabited for over a thousand years and home to just over two hundred people. Through the center of the village runs River Eye, eventually flowing into River Windrush just north of the Cotswold town of Bourton-on-the-Water. As many of the Cotswold towns and villages, Lower Slaughter retains much of its 17th Century appearance.
